Ellen Lucas

Ellen Lucille Lucas (Wolf), age 90, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Colleyville, Texas. Born on December 21, 1935, in Topeka, Kansas, Ellen lived a long and meaningful life marked by quiet strength, resilience, and deep devotion to her family.

Ellen was the daughter of Arthur and Lucinda Wolf and grew up alongside her sister Martha Pitt. Throughout her life, she embodied independence and grace, facing life's challenges with unwavering resolve and a calm spirit that left a lasting impression on those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob Lucas; her daughter Debra Smith; her parents; her sister; and her granddaughter Amber Smith. Their memories remained close to Ellen's heart throughout her life.

Ellen is lovingly remembered by her oldest son Ken Smith and his wife Betty; her youngest son Jeffery Smith; and her cherished grandchildren: Carrie Nicholson (Ken), Adam Dolashewich, Aaron Smith, Casey Ferraccio (Matt), Webb Smith (Brianne), and Allyson Romero. Her legacy continues through the lives of her 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought joy to her later years.

A woman of quiet faith, Ellen was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church. Her spiritual foundation provided strength throughout her life and served as a guiding light for those who knew her.

Ellen found joy in the simple pleasures—especially watching football and baseball. Whether cheering from the comfort of home or sharing commentary with loved ones, sports brought excitement and connection into her days.
