Ellin (Leibowitz) Dodge 93 passed away peacefully on December 10, in Phoenix, AZ, surrounded by loving family and friends. Born in NYC to William (Bill) and Sadie Leibowitz, Ellin was a creative child who attended the Calhoun School and the Professional Children's School, and later pursued a career as an author and lecturer.
As a young, newly divorced mother of two children - Ivy Dodge and Jeffrey Dodge - Ellin supported the family as a model, working for the Christian Dior Atelier, among other fashion houses. Later, she gained renown as the culture's preeminent numerologist, advising performers, politicians, business executives and others, publishing numerous books, making television appearances, and maximizing her time on the lecture circuit.
A true iconoclast, Ellin paved her own way in life. She was the beloved "Granny" to three: Max Dodge-Harkins, Will Dodge and Arden Dodge. Those who love her knew her to be exuberantly generous, glamorous (always) and canny, with a wry sense of humor that she maintained until the very end.
She will be missed by her friends and family, and we know that any time we catch a whiff of Opium, it will be her, swooping by for a visit.
The family asks that if you wish to honor her memory, donations be made to ASPCA.
