A Life of Service and Honor

Elliot Santiago, a devoted husband, father, and proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, passed away peacefully on February 21st, 2026, at the age of 74. Elliot was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Teresa Santiago.
Elliott was known for his unwavering strength and quiet resilience, his identity was inseparable from the Corps. He didn't just serve; he lived by the code of Semper Fidelis. Elliot's pride in his service was a cornerstone of his character, a quiet fire that influenced everything from the way he carried himself to the way he protected those he loved. The discipline, tactical precision, and "never quit" attitude he forged in Recon became the foundation of his civilian life. Whether he was facing a personal challenge or supporting a friend, he approached every situation with the grit and strategic mind of a veteran operator.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Lorrene Santiago, and his siblings:
Madeline (Avery) Duff Lillian (Donald) Wenzel, Frank (Debbie) Santiago,
Elliot was a loving father to: Haley (Braydon) Ward, Courtney Santiago, Jeff Mitchell
