She is survived by her sister, Margorie Martin and her husband Frankie; her children, Diana (Dee) Sims, Allen Cox and his wife Chrissy, and Gary Cox and his wife Sherri Comer-Cox. Her grandchildren, Jeremy Sims and his wife Jennifer, Kyle Sims, Kelleigh Marin and her husband Marco, Kenneth Cox and his wife Linda, Darryl Cox and his wife Holly, Heather Schmauk and her husband Eric, Tommy Shaw and his wife Victoria, Todd Cox, and Ryan Cox and his wife Sara, and her 9 great grand children will also hold her memory dear.
A celebration of life service will be held in the spring, Elsie's favorite season, at Gold Hill Weslyan Church, Gold Hill North Carolina, on May 17th celebrating Elsie's life and the profound impact she had on those around her. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
