Enidbette "Cookie" Ruiz, passed on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Survived by her Spouse, Diana V. Moreno, her pup, Hiro, that she considered her fur child, her Parents, Santos Ruiz and Brunilda Vazquez Ruiz, her siblings, Kimette Ruiz Vazquez, Mauricette Ruiz, and Mariette Ruiz, her niece, Aiyanna Vaurice, her two nephews, Camden Nicholas Kilgore and Tai Vaurice, and her childhood best friend, Juan Edgard Gonzalez Jr.

Cookie was passionate about culinary cuisine and loved social sciences. Her love for astronomy and astrology opened her perspective in viewing the world around her in a spiritual, profound, all-encompassing, scientific, and analytical methodology. She enjoyed reading about the social sciences and history of various cultures and complexities of human behavior and social issues. A foodie at heart, Cookie made it a point to broaden her family and friends' palates by challenging them to try different recipes she had learned to cook or by exploring a diverse new restaurant. She was always laughing and smiling. In a quiet room she could easily lighten the mood by vocalizing a keen observation followed by cracking an astute joke. A prankster at heart, she never missed the opportunity to scare her family and friends fulfilling a jump scare for a laugh.

Cookie had a beautiful voice. She was soprano singer in her school choir growing up. Though she never sang for a live audience, she would randomly burst into song when surrounded by people whom she felt comfortable with. When she sang her favorite songs aloud, she never missed a note, never missed a beat. To those that remained in her life, she was a vault full of guidance and knowledge. Her capacity to genuinely listen and ask the right questions and her intuitive nature built their personal self-reflection. Her thought process impacted everyone that crossed her point of view. She loved those that were closest to her deeply and protected them. She was always the one on alert and observing her surroundings when out with friends and family. Cookie was the dependable gauge of safety when on outings.

Cookie was born in Texas City, Texas on November 25, 1984. She passed due to a pulmonary embolism, DVT caused by undiagnosed uterine cancer. Cookie believed that just as astrophysicists have hypothesized, consciousness is not limited to the physical body. Her beliefs were that the human is always learning, even to the day they die. The physical death of the body may be irrelevant to a continuation of our consciousness in another universe. She believed humans have limited knowledge. Therefore, anything metaphysical including the existence of a god is unknowable. She left an irreplaceable void in so many lives. She is deeply missed by her loved ones.
