Eric Veidt Evensen

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, Eric, who left us on January 3, 2026 in Sparks, Nevada. Eric was born in Medford, Oregon on October 25, 1958, and throughout his years, he touched the lives of all who knew him with kindness, generosity, and an ever-present spirit of warmth.

Eric grew up in Medford, Oregon. As a Black Tornado, he developed the enduring principles of sportsmanship and dedication as a three-sport athlete. He was the cherished son of Paul and Lorraine Evensen, and a loving brother to Paula. From an early age, Eric demonstrated the ability to cultivate friendships and was always the life of the party.

After graduating from Oregon State, Eric excelled as an industrial engineer at Wells Manufacturing in Verdi, Nevada leaving a remarkable legacy through his dedication and hard work. His commitment to excellence earned the admiration of colleagues and the respect of all who knew him. Later, he became director of sales for the company, earning him and his wife many exciting trips to celebrate his success. He remained a loyal employee for over 30 years. Upon retirement, he found enjoyment as a course marshal and starter at Red Hawk Golf and Resort. Outside of work, Eric enjoyed golf, many genres of music, and was an avid reader, sharing his enthusiasm for those hobbies with those around him.

Eric is survived by his wife, Robin, daughters, Anna (Justin) Liles and Sara (Ethan) Zalkus, son, Dylan (Jame) Kruger, sister Paula (Steve) Barnett, nephews Chris and Jon Barnett, 6 grandchildren, and his fur babies, Mia and Lily. His fun spirit, generosity, and unwavering support will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have known him.

A Celebration of Life honoring Eric will be held March 7th at Red Hawk Golf and Resort, Sparks, Nevada. Though Eric may be gone from our sight, his spirit remains ever-present in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
