Eric Paulo Francomano, 52, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed into the mercy of God on March 8, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Though far too short, his life was rich with joy, warmth, intellect, and meaningful connections.

Known for his legendary gift of conversation, Eric made anyone feel like an old friend and could sell sand to the beach. Though he was a passionate fan of every sport in their own right, he rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on his beloved Ole Miss Rebels. He was also an avid tennis player, enjoying both the challenge and sportsmanship of the game. Beyond sports, he was a never-ending student of politics and current affairs, and always eager for thoughtful discourse. In addition to his cat Goodie, music was another great love of his life, and those who knew him will fondly remember the joy he found in a good song in the company of friends. Though he possessed a tall and imposing presence, he was known as a gentle giant and a man of creativity, depth, and kindness whose humor, insight, and generosity of spirit left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know him.

Eric is survived by his devoted fiancée, Celeste Watson, of the home; his children, Courtney Wilkinson (Custer) of Harrisburg, Arkansas; Raven Jelinske (Logan) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Quentin Francomano (Maggie) of Oceanside, California; his sister, Kristina Champ, of Seaside, California; his grandchildren, Amelia Francomano and Luca Francomano of Oceanside, California, and James Jelinske and Josephine Jelinske of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and his niece and nephews, Samantha Champ, Brandon Champ, and Ethan Champ of Seaside, California. He also leaves behind a cherished tennis community, whose friendship and camaraderie brought him great joy throughout his life.

Eric is preceded in death by his mother, Michele Desrosiers; his father, Paul Frank; his maternal grandparents Russell and Geraldine Desrosiers; and his paternal grandparents Bob and Vera Frank.

The family will hold a private memorial, with a celebration of life to be held with friends and family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Eric's memory to the Arkansas Tennis Patrons Foundation to continue sharing his passion for tennis with juniors and young adults in Arkansas.
