It is with sorrow yet joyful hearts that we announce the homegoing of Eric Christopher Tabor, Sr., a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 14, 2025. Eric lived a life dedicated to the Lord, full of passion, faith, and unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Eric was born on December 27, 1964, in Decatur, Georgia, but his true hometown was Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There, he attended Oakland High School, where he won state championships in wrestling and pole vaulting and formed many lifelong friendships.

After graduating, Eric attended the University of Tennessee, where he experienced the most important transformation of his life. During his sophomore year, he was inspired to buy a Bible after observing his suitemate's genuine relationship with the Lord. Eric's heart was transformed by what he read, and he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. His desire to honor Him became the foundation for his life.

Eric was a kind, generous, and outgoing man who never met a stranger. A natural encourager, he loved to build up those around him. His true passion in life was mentoring young people. He created mentorship groups for young men at every church he attended, as well as The Huddle, which he founded out of love for his sons and their friends.

Eric loved the outdoors, which was evident in his many hobbies, including fishing, hunting, hiking, tennis, pickleball, and coaching any sport he could. These activities were not just pastimes but opportunities for connection with family, friends, and God's creation. Eric's vibrant personality made him a magnet for meaningful conversation, and his genuine curiosity about others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Eric's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his cherished wife of 39 years, Reagan Stanley Tabor; his children, Sondra Tabor Howle (Taylor), Eric Christopher Tabor, Jr. (Olivia), Sam Ferguson Tabor (Amy), and Martha Tabor Dearmin (Zach); and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Emma Reagan, Evelyn, and Avery Howle; Henry, Rosie, Harlan, Jack, and Maeve Tabor; Watson, Grace, and Scott Tabor; and Naomi Dearmin. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Tabor (Holly) and Tim Tabor (Kathy), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joanne Tabor.

The memorial will be held in Orlando, Florida on November 15th.
