Ernest Grant Rose Jr.

Ernest Grant Rose Jr., affectionately known as "Red" or "Ernie" to family and friends. He passed away leaving a legacy of love, family, and friendship.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Betty Ann Rose, his daughters Linda Lee Simms, Laurie Lynn Rockwell, and Lisa Ann Smith, and his son William Grant Rose. Ernest and Betty were proud grandparents to eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him great joy.

He was also dearly loved by his nieces Donna Frum, Patty Forbes, and Jean White.

Ernest proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He also was an active member of Freemasonry for 60 years, reflecting a lifelong commitment to fellowship, integrity, and service.

Known for his warmth and kindness, Ernest was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Four Seasons Estates, 13225 101st Street SE, Largo, FL 33773. An interment service will take place with military honors at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 24th, 2026 at 2:30 pm.
