Estella Hodes Aletter

Estella Hodes Aletter passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2025 at 91 years old. Estella (Stella) and her brother David spent their early years in Brooklyn, New York. She was a popular girl due to her natural charm and beauty and went on to attend modeling school in New York City. Estella always took great pride in her appearance. She married Robert Hodes with whom she had two daughters. A few years later the family moved to Los Angeles. After divorce she enjoyed a lengthy career in Real Estate which suited her helpful and outgoing nature. She married the actor Frank Aletter who brought his two daughters, Kyle and Lesley into the family. Estella took very good care of herself throughout her life, doing yoga, pilates, walking her dog, playing bridge and mahjong well into her eighties. She was a wonderful and loyal friend and neighbor with a kind heart and clever sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by many. Estella is survived by daughters Alexandria Hodes, Julia Hodes, stepdaughter Lesley Aletter, niece Elizabeth Granger Lewis, and nephew David Granger and a wide circle of cherished lifelong friends who became like family to her and her daughters.
