Esther P. (Sweeney) Parker, age 89, a longtime resident of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, March 18, 2026 in the comfort of her loving family.
Esther was born in Quincy, to the late Michael J. and Esther M. (Meade) Sweeney. She was raised in Quincy and was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree. She lived in Braintree for the past sixty-one years.
She was employed as a telephone operator for AT&T and had been retired for many years.
Esther was devoted to her family and cherished her role as mother and grandmother.
Beloved wife for sixty-seven years of Albert P. Parker.
Devoted mother of Esther Mary Smoley of Braintree, Christopher A. Parker and his wife Joanna of Holbrook.
Loving grandmother of Riley L. Smoley and Frank Albert "Sonny" Smoley; Emma J. Parker, Adam C. Parker, and Catherine A. Parker.
The last of six siblings, she was predeceased by Marie E. Breen, Margaret E. Sweeney, Dennis F. Sweeney Virginia A. Mariani, and Joan E. Moscone.
Esther is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their families.
At the request of the family, services were private.
