Esther Adelaide Wagner Vreeland

Esther was born January 27, 1926, in Pittsburg, PA and recently celebrated her 100th birthday with a grand celebration. Esther passed away March 24, 2026. She is survived by her 2 sons: Art (Linda) Vreeland and Ray (Elsa) Vreeland - Grandchildren AshLeigh (Gary) Smith, Davis Vreeland and Vanessa Vreeland and Great Granddaughters Kaylie and Brooklynn Smith.

Esther was married to Arthur Vreeland for 56 years. They raised their sons in New Jersey and later retired to Florida before Arthur's passing in 2002. She enjoyed working at several small businesses throughout her life from gift wrapping to a printing company. At age 90, Esther moved to Denver, CO to be close to family. Esther was always ready for a laugh or share a funny story regarding her growing up with 2 older siblings, a loving Mother and an outdoorsman Father. Her stories had a real warmth and were entertaining.

Being very creative, Esther loved creating cards & pictures with pressed flowers and seashells which she called her "ditzys". She was a rather competitive card player (many poker games) and board game player, especially BINGO which she continued to play beyond her 100th birthday.
She enjoyed a full life with many great friendships lasting over 70 years sharing each aspect of living. Esther is fondly remembered and is missed.
