Etta Lee Meux

Etta Lee (Dozier) Meux, 90, passed away November 18, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV. Formerly a long-time resident of Gary, IN, where she met her loving husband of 65 years who precedes her in death, David A Meux. She moved to Hopkinsville, Kentucky in 1994 where she resided until 2024. Etta was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She retired from Gary, Community School Corporation in 1994. She was also a faithful Jehovah's Witness. She was a member of the Tolleston Kingdom Hall Congregation in Gary, IN, for many years with her husband. She loved Jehovah God and her family very much. Etta is also preceded in death by her parents Ozzie Lee Dozier, George and Mosie Lee Kendall. Sister Rosie L. Pender. Sons David A. Meux Jr, George F. Meux, and Alex P. Meux. Grandsons Michael Taylor, and Darius Quarles. She is survived by one brother, Roy (Rosalind) Dozier of Parkin, Arkansas. One daughter Sarah (Paul) Thomas of Las Vegas, NV. One son, Eric B. Meux of Las Vegas, NV. 16 grandkids. Best friend, Thelma Silvils of Hopkinsville, KY. A host of great grandkids, great great grandkids, family and friends who all loved her dearly. A memorial celebration will be held in her honor Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 5418 Broadway Merrillville, IN 46410 from 5pm until 8pm. Friends and Family are welcome.
