Ferdinand Joseph Martini, aged 90, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Lantana, FL. Born on August 23, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, Fred, as he was affectionately known, lived a life marked by deep family connections, a successful career, and a variety of interests that brought joy not only to him but also to those around him.
Fred attended New Utrecht High School, graduating in 1953, and shortly after served in the United States Army, where he dedicated himself to his duties with the same passion he would later bring to his personal and professional life. Following his military service, Fred worked as a longshoreman under his father-in-law, Charles Ricciardi, before embarking on a remarkable entrepreneurial journey. In 1973, along with a lifelong friend and business partner, he invested $500 to start what would become a multi-million dollar enterprise, Efficient Towers. The company made its mark building cooling towers across prestigious locations including the Empire State Building, various famous nightclubs, hotels, and stadiums. In 2001, he chose to retire, marking the end of an illustrious career.
Fred's personal life was as rich and fulfilling as his professional one. He was a devout member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Keyport, New Jersey, where he found spiritual solace and community. His hobbies included horse racing, gardening, golfing, bocce ball, and painting, talents and interests that reflected his multifaceted personality.
A storyteller at heart, Fred loved to share tales of his Brooklyn childhood, and he had an aversion to horror movies, preferring comedy for its light-heartedness. His quotes, like "too good no good," remain cherished words among those who knew him. Fred's family was the cornerstone of his life; he cherished the time spent with his children, especially during family vacations on his houseboat, trips to fairs, festivals, and fishing excursions.
Fred leaves behind a loving family including his daughter, Denise Martini; granddaughter, Tina Korp and her husband Sean; granddaughter, Samantha Dahlen; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Tyler Graham, Carolyn Griffith; sister, Josie Pellegrini; nephews, Charles and Phillip Pellegrini; grandson, Robert Martini; and Fred's current wife, Angela Martini. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Pauline Martini; stepmother, Teresa; sister, Mae; son, Vincent Martini; and his first wife the mother of his children Vera martini and X wife Elaine Martini, respectively.
Fred Martini's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and friendship. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his generosity, laughter, and unwavering spirit. His life will be celebrated in a manner that honors his wishes and the love he shared with so many.
