Florieto "Boying" Alano

Florieto "Boying" Alano, 74, of San Jose, CA, passed away on March 14, 2026. Born in Manila, Philippines, on April 18,1951 to Simplicio and Maura Alano, Boying was a graduate of Lyceum of the Philippines University and a former college instructor.

A lifelong Marian devotee and a compassionate caregiver, Boying dedicated his life to serving those with developmental disabilities. He founded AIM Group Home, operating it for 23 years, and served as Program Director of MITC until his retirement. He was known for his love of cooking, gardening, and his unwavering loyalty as a "friend for life."

He is survived by his sisters Leonila (Bob) Atkins, Nenita Siriyutwatana, Perla (Chris) Lee, and Cora (Tony) Eye. He was predeceased by his brothers Ceferino and Simplicio Jr.
