Floyd Arnold Rowry

1961 - 2026

Floyd Arnold Rowry, 64, of San Francisco, California, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 1, from heart failure.
Floyd was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he developed a deep and lifelong love for his hometown and its traditions. He graduated from Pioneer High School in 1980, a place that helped shape many of his passions. During his years at Pioneer, Floyd played football—a sport he embraced with enthusiasm and pride. He loved the camaraderie of the team, the energy of Friday night games, and the sense of belonging that came with wearing the school colors. His connection to the sport stayed with him throughout his life, fueling his unwavering devotion to the University of Michigan Wolverines.
Floyd also found joy in music, singing in the Pioneer High School chorus. He had a warm, expressive voice that added depth to every performance. Whether rehearsing with classmates or stepping onto the stage for concerts, Floyd brought the same spirit he carried everywhere—fun, heart, and willingness to share a piece of himself with others.
After high school, Floyd built a varied career in both retail and banking, fields where his easygoing nature and natural warmth made him a favorite among coworkers and customers alike.
Floyd will always be remembered for his fun-loving personality and his infectious laugh—one of those unmistakable laughs that could fill a room and lift the spirits of everyone around him. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, and he approached life with a lightness and joy that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Floyd is survived by his brothers Lloyd Rowry, Shannon McFall, and Floyd Robertson, and by his sister Sheri Robertson. He is also survived by his children, Megan Liedl, Chelsea Berlucchi, and Patrick Talbot; his three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His beloved Aunt Jesse Jordan always held a special place in his heart.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. If you would like to make a donation in Floyd’s memory, contributions may be made to NAMI.
