Frances Elizabeth James

Frances Elizabeth James (Brown), 49, of Seagrove, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1976, in High Point, North Carolina.

Frances was the beloved wife of Mark James, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage. She is also survived by her brothers Norman Brown and Josh Brown(Katie); her sister Shannon Brown; her nieces Cassy Davis(Dakota) and Laura Brown; her nephew Wes James; and her cherished grandsons Emerson Davis, Colton Davis, and Daniel Davis. She was predeceased by her parents, Ellis Brown Jr. and Sandra Brown, as well as her twin nieces Sandra and Erica Brown.

A woman of immense creativity and a love for life's simple joys, Frances found happiness in friends, family, pottery, painting, crafts, and gardening. Her artistic talents were matched only by the warmth of her big heart and the radiance of her big smile. She had a special fondness for animals and a deep love for her grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life.

Frances will be remembered for her warm companionship and smile. She will be missed by all and will never be forgotten. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. She requested no services.
