Frances Veronica Liberatore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered eternal rest on January 17, 2026, at the age of 93.
Born on March 18, 1932 in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Frances was a 1950 graduate of William L. Dickenson High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. Frances was the devoted wife of Salvatore N. Liberatore for 48 years, who preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Dorothea Creedon, and by her sons Stephen A. Liberatore and James R. Liberatore, and her granddaughter, Kelly Frances Liberatore.
Frances is survived by her loving children: Virginia B. Liberatore (daughter-in-law); Patricia D. Liberatore (former daughter-in-law); Thomas S. and Elizabeth B. Liberatore; Robert A. and Melissa A. Liberatore; William J. Liberatore; and Michael A. and Abby L. Liberatore. She was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Frances also had a deep and enduring love for her many nieces, nephews, and their families, living and deceased.
A devout Catholic, Frances attended daily Mass and devoted her entire life to God, her family, the evangelization of others, and a commitment to protect the unborn. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, and through her prayer, humility, and example, she served as a role model to many.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church, 3315 Greencastle Road, Burtonsville, Maryland on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with Reverend John Barry officiating. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the Mass beginning at 10:00. Interment will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. All are welcome to attend.
Frances will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
