Francis A. Casey, born December 26, 1945 passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 after a courageous battle with dementia. He was born in Suffern, New York to William and Marion Casey (Greehey). Frank was raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey and was the oldest of 8 children. After graduating Bergen Catholic High School, he attended Seton Hall University for his undergraduate degree, eventually receiving his MBA. After various short term moves in the northeast, including Buffalo NY, Marlborough MA and Ramsey NJ, he settled down in Danville, CA where he remained until his passing.
Frank built a long and well-respected 30 yr career at H.J. Heinz, where he received many accolades for his contributions. He prided himself as being the youngest Regional Manager at the time, covering the entire Northeast. He valued hard work and perseverance for himself and in others.
Frank had an appreciation for good food, travel, college basketball and car shows. Frank traveled the world, enjoying the history, culture, unknown foods and obscure places. He was known for his practical wisdom, his uncanny ability to save a buck and getting the best deal on just about anything.
Above all Frank was a devoted father, grandfather and partner. He is survived by his daughter, Christine and her husband Paul Vautrin of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., his son Kevin Casey and his wife Debra of Brick, N.J. Also surviving are his siblings Marianne Casey, Joni Masterson, Michael Casey and Carolyn Amoresano. His loving grandchildren, Carleigh, Anya and Parker Vautrin, Morgan and Quinn Casey. His loving partner for more than 20 years, Terry Stowell, who stood by him and cared for him during his final days. Frank was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Eileen Walters, Catherine Casey and William Casey. Frank’s family and friends will celebrate his life at a later date.
