Francis J. Fulgham passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026. Known affectionately as Franny, Fran, and Bebop, he was a man whose kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation and never missed an opportunity to share a joke or bring a smile to someone’s face.
Born on May 13, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fran attended West Deptford High School and lived in West Deptford for most of his life. He worked at both CertainTeed in Berlin, NJ and Woodbury Heights Elementary School, where he was lovingly known as “Mr. Fran.”
Fran was a devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He always made time for the people he loved and believed showing up for others mattered most.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judith (née Preole); his stepchildren, Benjamin (Jenny) Long, Robert (Michele) Long, and Karen (Francis) Haas; his grandchildren, Breanna, Robert, and Laura Long, Bryn and Kate Haas and Abbi Lewis; his brother, Randy Fulgham; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Helen (née Ward) Fulgham, and his brothers, Robert, Charles, and Richard Fulgham.
A celebration of his life will be held on January 31, 2026, 11:00 am at Christ Episcopal Church, Woodbury, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Christ Episcopal Church, Woodbury, in his memory.
