Francis Dale Robinson

Francis Dale Robinson, 83, of Elmira, NY, passed away on April 1, 2026. Born on August 27, 1942, Francis, fondly known as Frank, was known for his sweet disposition, kindness, and vibrant sense of humor. He graduated in 1960 from SouthSide High School, Elmira, New York.

Frank was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served from 1961 to 1964 during the Vietnam War. His commitment to service was a significant part of his life. After many years working as an Electronics Technician in both Colorado and New Jersey, he retired in his hometown of Elmira.

Frank was the beloved son of the late Frank H.

Robinson of Pennsylvania and Virginia Hill Kakretz of Elmira, NY.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his beloved son Scott Robinson of Colorado, beloved daughter Joli Robinson of New Jersey, grandson Colton Robinson, granddaughter Sammie Robinson, and three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sisters, Karen (Jim) Schoonmaker of NH, and Lori (Pat) Nestor of SC., his Aunt Sally Haase who he grew up with, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frank will be remembered for his sense of humor, gentle spirit and enduring warmth that touched the lives of all who knew him. Many thanks go to his caretakers who cared for him the last 3 years of his life.
