Frank Monaco, 78 of Newton MA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 7, 2026 at his Newton home from complications of Diabetes.
Frank Monaco was born in Introdaqua, Italy, on May 22, 1947. He and his family immigrated to the US in 1957 and settled in Watertown MA.
His father passed away many years ago when Frank was a teenager. He accepted family responsibilities and became a steady source of strength and support for his family in addition to graduating from Watertown High School in 1966.
Becoming a Master Plumber shortly after graduation, he owned and operated a successful heating and plumbing company in the Boston area working diligently for 52 years.
He enjoyed family dinners, get-togethers, the outdoors and traveling. In his spare time, he listened to Italian folk music, researched the Middle Ages, Egypt and Rome in ancient times. We will miss his sense of humor, kindness and the many good times we spent together.
Frank was predeceased in death by his mother Rosina (LoStracco) Monaco-DiCienzo, father Davino Monaco, brother Anthony "Tony" Monaco, all of Watertown. Frank's daughter Marisa Lee Davis of Braintree. Sister-in-law Bette (Sullivan) Monaco of Medford.
Frank is survived by his spouse Marie Monaco and son Francesco Monaco of Newton, brother Lou Monaco of Medford, his sister Maria Mazzola and her spouse Emilio Mazzola of Watertown, and his Grandson Joseph E. Davis, II of East Providence, RI. Loving nieces and nephews: Alicia, Sandra, Matt, Aidan, David, Antonio and Victoria.
Frank will be missed by his loving cousins in Canada, Italy, Massachusetts, Maine, Ohio and Australia.
Services will be private.
