It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Benjamin Opoka announces his passing on October 17, 2025, at the age of 64. He passed away peacefully at his sisters home in Cary, Illinois, surrounded by his loving family. Frank will be remembered for the remarkable kindness and generosity he showed throughout his life. He had a truly big heart and was always willing to help others in any way he could. He brightened every room he entered with his energy, humor, and genuine warmth. To many, he was affectionately known as "Uncle Frank," the life of the party and a friend to all.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Emily Opoka; his sisters Fran (Phil) and Margie (Dave); and his many nieces and nephews: Carrie (Bob), Carol, Peggy (Tim), James (Noelle), Barbie (Mark), Brett (Janice), Corinne (Patrick), Colleen, Matt, Wendi, and Dustin. Together, they each carry treasured memories of his vibrant spirit and the joy and love he brought into their lives.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Regina Opoka; his father, Edward William Opoka; his sister, Mary Opoka; and his nephew, Jeffre Houtz.
A Celebration of Life will be held on November 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the West Dundee VFW, located at 117 S 1st St., West Dundee, Illinois 60118.
Frank will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who loved him.
