With profound sadness and loving remembrance, I share the news of the passing of Frank William Poletz of Clearwater, Florida. Born on September 2, 1953, Frank departed this life peacefully on November 23, 2025. Survived by his loving daughter, Melissa Poletz, and cherished grandson, Jax Lipp, his legacy continues through the family he adored. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Frank Poletz and Phyllis Cull, and grew up surrounded by the laughter and love of his five siblings: Lisa, Gina, Tony, Terri, and Randy.
He was a devoted and trusted member of the NA community, proudly celebrating 28 years of sobriety. Throughout his journey, he became a guiding light for many, offering support and hope to those finding their own path. Most recently, he served as secretary of his home group and was an advocate for bringing the message of recovery into hospitals and institutions, making a lasting impact through his commitment and compassion for others.
In his free time, he loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and leading group rides as a Road Captain in his beloved HOG group.
My dad was the kind of father who consistently showed up, no matter the circumstances. He was always there to offer wisdom or lighten any moment with his signature humor. As the first man I ever loved, he embodied strength and compassion, setting an incredible example of what it means to be a caring parent. I am deeply proud and forever honored to be his only child.
His memory will live on in the countless stories, smiles, and lessons he shared. We invite everyone—family, friends, and acquaintances—to join us in celebrating his life on Sunday, January 11th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Clearsky on Park in Seminole in the private Front Room.
