Fred Cortez Thomas

Fred Cortez Thomas, aged 91, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on December 24, 2025. Born on November 7, 1934, Fred led a life marked by dedication to his family and community.
Fred graduated from Long Branch, NJ High School and soon after began his lifelong career in the automotive repair industry. He co-owned and operated Fred and Ed's Auto Body Repair and then later worked with his brother, Paul, at Thomas Brother's Auto Body Shop. He was well-respected for his meticulous work and strong work ethic.
One of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 80 years, Fred was deeply involved in his faith community, participating actively in ministry work which he immensely enjoyed alongside his favorite pastime, fishing.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Norma Thomas; his sister, Peggy Thomas; and his daughters, Michelle Thomas, Paula Thomas, and Carla Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie Thomas, as well as his siblings, Julia, Henry, Minnie, Margaret, Cornelius, Rosa, Charles, Ann, and Paul Thomas.
Fred will be remembered for his strength, resilience, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
