Gabriele Spadorcia, age 93, of Dennis Port, formerly of Braintree, died peacefully, Monday, April 20, 2026 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his loving family.

Gabriele was born in Prezza, Abruzzo, Italy, to the late Luigi and Agata (Bosco) Spadorcia. Raised and educated there, he immigrated to the United States in the late 1950s with his young family, settling in Quincy Point.

He lived in Dennis Port for the past three years, previously in Braintree for nearly forty years.

Gabriele was a talented carpenter and had worked for the Quincy Housing Authority as well as various contractors, including J.F. White Contracting Company. He had been retired for many years.

He was a longtime member of the Torre Dei Passeri Social Club in Quincy.

Gabriele had a passion for gardening, cultivating beautiful vegetables. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, actively supporting their many activities and accomplishments.

Beloved husband for seventy years of Irma N. (Pasquale) Spadorcia.

Devoted father of Anthony L. Spadorcia and his wife Luigina of Yarmouth, Maryann Elmore and her husband Fred of Weymouth, and Kathy M. Burnes and her husband Michael of Dennis Port.

Loving grandfather of Nadia M. Quireyns and her husband Brendan, Anthony G. Spadorcia and his wife Cara; Jessica A. Guillemette and her husband Luke, Meghan N. Sholomith and her husband Josh, Steffany T. Elmore, Christopher D. Elmore; Danielle S. Burnes and Adam M. Burnes.

Cherished great grandfather of Mason and Madison.

The last of three siblings, he was predeceased by Pasquale Spadorcia and Margherita Pasqualone.

Gabriele is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Saturday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, from 9 - 10 a.m. Entombment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

In accordance with Gabriele's wishes, those attending are asked to be joyful as his family celebrates his remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gabriele's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, Attn: Massachusetts, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
