Gail Ann (White) Capone, 68, passed away on July 6, 2024, with her husband and children at her side, held by the same love that shaped her life. Born on June 16, 1956, in East Boston, MA, Gail was pure magic on Earth — brilliant, joyful, and somehow able to bring sparkle and glitter into the most ordinary days.
Gail was the beloved wife and soulmate of Ken Capone, her partner in every sense of the word. Together they raised two children she loved with her whole heart: Mark Capone, his wife, Suzi, Lynsey Capone-Smith and her husband, Ryan. She was "Memei" to her grandchildren—Pace, Paloma, and Kai—and there was nothing in the world she loved more than being theirs.
Gail was also a devoted daughter, friend, sister, and an incredible aunt—not just to her many nieces and nephews by blood, but to all that became 'hers', those that she encouraged, listened to, and loved like family. Her home was open, her heart even more so.
A woman of brilliance, generosity, and unwavering faith, Gail lived her life as a devout Catholic, finding strength and purpose in her service to others. She built a remarkable career as a pharmacist, but more importantly, she cared for people with a level of compassion that went above and beyond. She was steady, smart, and the kind of person who made you feel safe just by being in the room.
What she leaves behind is a legacy of seeing the good in every day—truly every day. She taught us never to give up, to find joy even in hard moments, and to love fiercely. Even in ordinary moments, she made life feel beautiful.
Her sparkle, her laugh, her strength, and her love will be missed more than words can say. But she lives on—in her family, in her grandchildren, and in the countless ways she shaped us all.
May her memory be a blessing, a comfort, and an everyday reminder to look for the good, and to bring a little sparkle and glitter into the world, just like she did. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love — and the greatest of these is love.
