Gail Ann Phillipo

Gail Ann Phillipo, 71, of Boston Massachusetts, passed away on March 8th 2026. She died peacefully at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston in the company of friends.
Beloved daughter of Ellen Phillipo, Gail grew up in Boston where she studied drums as a child with the great Nigerian drummer Babatunde Olatunji. Gail was a child prodigy and became a talented percussionist and educator who worked with children and adults of all ages.
Gail was a beloved member of her community and will be greatly missed by all that she touched during her life.
A memorial service will be held at some point in the near future.
