Gale L. Gieseke, 91, of Indio, CA and Wilsonville, OR, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025.
Born in 1934, Gale proudly served his country in the United States Air Force before building a long and distinguished career as an Electrical Engineer. His sharp mind, meticulous nature, and passion for problem-solving defined both his professional life and his personal interests.
In 1962, he married the love of his life, Ruth, and together they shared 48 beautiful years of marriage filled with laughter, travel, and family until her passing in 2010. After Ruth's death, Gale found renewed joy and companionship with his devoted partner, Pat Auxier. Since 2010, Gale and Pat were truly inseparable—traveling, enjoying meals with friends, and simply cherishing every day together.
Gale attended hundreds of baseball games and cheered on his family at every game. Gale's sons and grandsons could always hear him in the stands cheering them on with his patented phrase "hack hack Gieseke" when they were up to bat.
Gale also possessed an infectious enthusiasm for the stock market and emerging technology. He loved nothing more than studying market trends, offering thoughtful financial guidance to family and friends, and excitedly sharing the latest breakthroughs from Tesla and other innovators. He could spend hours describing—in vivid detail—how new technologies would shape the future and improve people's lives.
Gale is survived by his loving partner, Pat Auxier; son Mark Gieseke and his wife Holly; grandsons Bryce and Brett; son Jeff Gieseke; as well as many dear friends who became family over the years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Gieseke.
Gale will be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit, and boundless curiosity. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the bright future he always believed in.
Services will be held in late January.
Rest easy, Gale—you've earned it.
