Gareld Thomas "Gary" Meyerkorth, 76, passed away on April 7, 2020, in Fernley, Nevada. Born on March 25, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri, Gary lived a life marked by dedication to his family, career, and community.
Gary began his professional journey with Pacific Bell as an installer. Through hard work and determination, he advanced to a management position before taking early retirement in 1987. Not one to remain idle, Gary transitioned into telecommunications consulting before embarking on a new career as an enrolled agent. He continued in this role until his full retirement at the age of 65. His adaptability and commitment to excellence were hallmarks of his professional life.
In addition to his career achievements, Gary was deeply committed to giving back to his community. After retiring, he devoted his time and energy to volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and several other organizations. His contributions left a lasting impact on those he served and reflected his generous spirit.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Maggie (Margaret), and their sons Kenneth (Colleen) and Jason (Norma). He also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Thomas, Samantha, and Margot. Preceding him in death were his sisters Sharlene and Patricia.
