Gary Samuel Skiles

CLOVIS - Gary S. Skiles, 85, died on March, 6, 2026, at home. He was born July 20, 1940, in Holdrege, NE, the son of Floyd and Ruth Skiles.

Gary graduated from Odessa High School, Class of 1958. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He married the love of his life, Eileen Hasbrouck, and they settled in Clovis in 1985. Gary was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in July 1976. He and Eileen celebrated 64 years of marriage in April of 2025.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Allen, and a great granddaughter, Gracelyn Shawniak. Surviving in addition to his wife, Eileen, are his sons, Bernie, Sean and wife, Julie, and Destry, all of Clovis, and Darin of Omaha; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; siblings, Billie Marlatt of Saint David, AZ; and Patricia Korcek of Columbus, NE; Newton Skiles and wife, Becky, of North Little Rock, AR; one sister in-law, Catherine Lybarger and husband, Jerry, of Arcadia, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 710 N. Sunnyside Avenue in Clovis.
