Genevieve "Genny" Leito Day passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 26, 2026. She is survived by her son, Drew Spencer Day, fiancé, David Allen Moss, father, Jimmy (Jennifer) Leito, and stepfather, Mike Sweeney.
Genny was preceded in death by husband, Spencer Day and her mother, Dora (Mike) Sweeney. She is also survived by her sisters, Taylor Sweeney and Samantha Leito Simpson, her brother, Jacob Leito, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Genny was an avid UK fan of all sports. She enjoyed fly fishing and spending time on the beach taking in the ocean air. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. Most of all, Genny was a loving and devoted mother...she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Visitation for Genny will be Friday, April 3rd 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Milward - Man O'War located at 1509 Trent Blvd. in Lexington. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 7:00 pm.
