Geoffrey Wayne VanTreese, 62, born in Albany, Georgia and a longtime resident of Brunswick and Monroe, Georgia, entered eternal rest on February 9, 2026.

He was a well-known and respected interior carpenter in Atlanta, Georgia, admired for his craftsmanship. Geoffrey was also known for his laid-back nature, great sense of humor, and love of fishing, hunting, and cooking. He especially cherished his grandchildren—Rylee, Aiden, Georgia, Logan, and Millie—who were the light of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy VanTreese; his daughter, Jessica Dreyer, and son-in-law, Justin Dreyer; his son, Ryan VanTreese; his sister, Jennifer Strickland and his brother-in-law, Henry Strickland.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
