George William Brunson, Jr.

George William Brunson, Jr. was born on July 19, 1935 and crossed over and placed his hand in God's on August 31, 2025 in Kennesaw, GA.

George was raised in Highland Park, NJ where he attended school from kindergarten through 12th grade. He met his wife, Arlene Lowery, in high school and they were married in 1957. They had recently celebrated 68 years of marriage prior to his passing. George and Arlene settled in Highland Park, NJ where they raised their family.

George had an indomitable spirit to his very last breath and until his last second on this earth, he taught his children about the goodness of God and the principles of faith.

George was predeceased by his parents, George William Brunson, Sr and Emma (Hardy) Brunson. He leaves behind his wife, Arlene; four children: George, III, Sherry, Wayne and Tammy (MIchael), a sister Rose Marie Cephers, six grandchildren Camille (Mark), Devin, Darien, Veronica, Marcus and Tigist, three great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, three god-daughters Michelle Smith, Maya Smith and Tonya Cargile.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, 771 Somerset St., Somerset, NJ 08873. Visitation is at 1 PM followed by the Memorial Service at 2 PM.
