George Gary Dency

George Gary Dency, 83, of Glastonbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026. Born on December 3, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late George and Hilda (Birx) Dency.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 58 years, Rosemarie Dency.

In addition to his beloved wife, Gary is survived by his sons, Eric (Lisa) Dency of Glastonbury, Connecticut; and Matthew (Tania) Dency of New Braunfels, Texas.

He was a proud grandfather to Amanda Dowdy, (Stephen), Christopher Dency, Andrew Dency, Emma Dency, Lucas Dency, Cohan Dency, Mylen Dency, Faith Dency; and a great-grandfather to Emily Dowdy.

He is also survived by his brother, Michael Dency. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Dency, and his sister, Mary Louise (Dency) Davis.

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964.

He loved God, his family, and had a special place in his heart for animals.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for family and close friends at Ss. Isidore and Maria at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury, CT 06033, at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17 Wickham Road, Glastonbury, Connecticut 06033.
