George Leo O'Grady

George Leo O'Grady, age 92; Beloved son of the late Michael and Bridie (nee Walsh); Preceded in death by his brother Frank (late Lorita) O'Grady and sister Mary Patricia "Pat" O'Grady; Dear uncle of Frank, Steve, Paul and Sheila O'Grady; Great-uncle of Colin and Conner O'Grady, Mary Claire and Francis "Fin" Duffy; Also survived by many loving cousins and friends;

George was a retired commercial real estate broker and a devoted volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul, Oak Forest Hospital and many south suburban food pantries. He was also a faithful supporter of Catholic education especially Loyola University, Leo High School and St. Rita High School.

George was awarded the Ozanan Medal by Bishop Conway of Catholic Charities for funding the Christian burials for 214 unclaimed individuals in Catholic cemeteries.

Visitation Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 1:15 p.m. at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel, 7740 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. Interment private at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Rita of Cascia Shrine and Most Holy Redeemer Parish, 9525 S. Lawndale Ave., Evergreen Park, IL 60805 would be most appreciated.
