George Daniel "Danny" Mize

Sergeant First Class George Daniel "Danny" Mize, a proud veteran, devoted family man, passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 10, 2025 at the age of 78.
Danny lived a life defined by honor, service, and unwavering dedication. He served his country with distinction in the United States Army. Throughout his military career, he exemplified leadership, courage, and commitment, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow soldiers and superiors alike. Danny carried those same values into civilian life while working with many others after retirement.
Danny remained deeply committed to his family and community, always willing to lend a helping hand or share his wisdom with those around him. Known for his strength, humility, and sense of humor, Danny left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all, he cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He took great pride in his family and friends and the legacy he built through love, guidance, support and laughter.
Danny is survived by his wife, Juanita, daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and David, son and significant other, Michael and Angie, grandchildren- Dezirae, Destiny, Deanna and Frederick, brothers, David and Robert "Bobby". He was preceded in death by his father, George, mother, Mary and Uncle Charlie and Aunt Oliva.
His legacy of service, integrity, love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
