George Warren Pappert Sr.

George Warren Pappert Sr., age 82, of Duvall, Washington, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Washington.
George was born on January 17, 1944, to Mabel Hepperle. During his senior year of high school, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served for four years, including time during the Vietnam War.

On April 15, 1967, George married Kathleen Solman in Reno, Nevada. Following his military service, he began a long career in telecommunications, working for Western Union and later GTE until his retirement. George and Kathleen later divorced in 1988.

On October 3, 1995, George married Deanna Newhard. Together they built a life rooted in love and companionship, eventually settling in Duvall, Washington, in November of 2002.

George is survived by his wife of 31 years, Deanna Newhard-Pappert of Duvall, Washington; his sons, Joseph Pappert of Everett, Washington, and George W. Pappert Jr. (Kimberly) of Monroe, Washington; his daughter, Dawn De Sousa (Tony) of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He leaves behind a legacy of grit, humor, and good times that won't soon be forgotten.
