George was a dedicated and hardworking man whose greatest joy was caring for those he loved. He had a big heart and a strong sense of responsibility, earning a reputation as a reliable person whom others could always depend on during tough times. His steady support and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him. In addition to his passion for sports, George was an avid listener of sports radio, often engaging in lively discussions about local teams and players. Above all his interests, the time he shared with his family was what he valued most, creating countless treasured memories.

His siblings—Louis Pickering (Elizabeth Pickering), Joseph Pickering, and Terrance Pickering—along with his sisters, Stasi Spriggel (Thomas Spriggel), Christina Pickering (Senica Keith), Jessica Pickering, and Ashley Madasz, will carry forward George's legacy of kindness and strength. Additionally, he leaves behind 16 nieces and nephews, each of whom will miss their uncle dearly.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, George Sr. and Betty Pickering, and Leslie and Wanda Brown, as well as his Aunt Marilyn Matejcek, Uncle David "Shorty" Pickering, and nephew Sebastian Madasz, all of whom held special places in George's heart.
