George Stanford Pierce, Sr.

George Stanford Pierce, Sr., lovingly known as “Stan, Dad, Pop, or Dr. Pierce,” was welcomed into the loving arms of his precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 80.

Stan was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, to Eleanor and Burton Pierce. He graduated from Florida State University and went on to earn his degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He established Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic in St. Petersburg in 1968, where he faithfully served his cherished community for 56 years before retiring in 2024.

Stan’s legacy is one to be admired. He was married to the love of his life, Judy, for 57 wonderful years. Together they raised three children- Christine, Angie and Stan Jr.- and were blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A man of deep and unwavering faith, Stan consistently pointed others toward Christ, not only through his words but through his actions. He loved his family deeply and unconditionally and treasured every opportunity to sit and talk with others on his back porch, making each person feel as though they were the only one in the world.

Stan was a passionate upper cervical doctor who impacted thousands of patients and fellow doctors throughout his career. He founded the Advanced Orthogonal chiropractic technique and viewed his work not merely as a profession, but as a true calling.

Though he is deeply missed, his family finds peace in knowing he has found complete healing and rejoices in the promise of being reunited with him again. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy; his children, Christine (husband Shannon), Angie (husband Kevin), and Stan Jr.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
