George Lester Sadler III, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday in Houston, TX, at the age of 75.

Born and raised in Lake Charles, LA, George forged a career as an industrial engineer and business consultant, spanning over three decades. His professional journey included roles at Proctor & Gamble, IBM, and the University of Houston, culminating in the successful founding of his own consulting firm.

George's commitment to service began early, as a proud graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he excelled both academically and as a member of the football team. After training at Fort Bliss and graduating from the Defense Language Institute, he served as Captain at U.S. Army bases at Wiesbaden and Cloppenburg in Germany. Even in retirement, his devotion continued as he poured his heart into the West Point Society of Greater Houston.

He is survived by his daughter, Louisa Sadler Gauthier, her husband Michael, and his grandsons, Henry and Andrew Gauthier. His sister, Ruth Ann Sadler Haney of Decatur, AL, and twin sister, Mary Catherine Sadler of Atlanta, GA, will forever remember him. He is also remembered by his former wife, Sherry Copeland of Conroe, TX.

George will be laid to rest at Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, S.C. Please send memorial donations in lieu of flowers to The Long Grey Line Fund of West Point, which ensures reunion services, memorial services, and a ring ceremony for all graduates of West Point.

By mail: West Point Association of Graduates, 698 Mills Road, West Point, NY 10996
