George J. Schwarz, Jr., 72, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to everyone he encountered, entered eternal life Feb. 26 at Aristacare, Manchester, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.
George was born Sept. 19, 1953 in Plainfield, NJ to Jeanne and George, Sr. He grew up in Highlands, and lived in Monmouth Beach, Long Branch, Toms River, and Manchester. Throughout his life he was always willing to help anyone with any task, any place, any time. He will be remembered for his love of family, steadfast faith, smiling blue eyes, empathy, kindness, his ability to love deeply, and a great sense of adventure.

During his career he was a master carpenter, owned a landscaping business, served as a lifeguard, restored more than 100 cars, and served more than 3 years as director of St. Brigid's Pantry, Long Branch; no one went hungry on George's watch. His hobbies included bicycling, swimming, and billiards. George was committed to serving his Lord Jesus Christ through volunteering to serve at the altar and take on church maintenance.
George is survived by his wife of 10 years Terry Ann Schwarz nee Ryan; his son and daughter-in-law Justin and Heather Schwarz; his son and daughter-in-law Shane and Sarah Schwarz; his stepson Stephen Teti and his wife Sarah, his stepdaughter Sara Snapp and her husband Dan; his stepson Michael Teti; grandchildren Finnegan, Jack, Julia, Clare, Katharine, Juliet, Anabelle, and Madden; his sister Bonnie Morris and her husband Gene, and his sister Lynda Lettice. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Schwarz, and his parents Jeanne & George Schwarz, Sr.
