Gerald D. "Buff" Schwenk, Sr.

At the age of 90, passed away on Friday November 21, 2025, while under Hospice care at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He was the loving husband of Carolyn C. (Williams) Schwenk for 69 years, and a son of the late Charles D. and Marion E. (Glasser) Schwenk.

Gerald was a proud Marine who served during the Korean Conflict 1953-1956. After leaving the Marines, he owned and operated the Exxon Service Center in North Catty for 22 years, where he made lifelong friends and memories. Gerald then went on to work for Allentown Medical Center Associates, where he retired at the age of 80, which then allowed him to spend time with family and his cherished grandchildren.

Gerald is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughters Pamela J. Reichard (Todd) of Greenville SC, Karen L. Christman (Tim) of Whitehall, Cynthia A. Moses of Allentown, Teresa A. Kline (Wayne) of Mariaville, ME, and son Gerald D. Schwenk Jr. (Nicole) of Catasauqua; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, along with his brother William "Bill" Schwenk, and grandson Mark R. Christman.

A Celebration of Gerald's Life will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2025 in the President's Hall of the Fullerton Fire Company #1, 851 Second Street Whitehall, PA 18052. His Family will receive friends and guests beginning at 11:00 am, with Miliary Honors bestowed at Noon by the Northampton Joint Forces Honor Guard. A Luncheon and fellowship will follow.

For those who wish to honor Gerald with a memorial contribution, his family suggests a donation to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7293, located at 5209 Springmill Road Whitehall, Pennsylvania 18052
