Gerald (Gerry) Aaron Weiss, age 72, of Azle, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2025. He was born on May 20, 1953, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, to Arthur Weiss and Florence Angart Weiss.
Gerry attended Kent State University where he earned two degrees and met the love of his life, Vicki. They were married on March 17, 1977, and began a life together rooted in love, faith, and family. In 1982, they moved to the Fort Worth area, which remained their home for decades.
He spent his career working in the parts departments at various car dealerships, retiring from Toyota of Fort Worth in 2020. He was a lifelong car enthusiast and had a particular fondness for classic cars.
In 1984, Gerry accepted Christ and was baptized. His faith guided his life, and he faithfully served his church in many roles, including teaching two-year-old Sunday School, volunteering with youth groups, and serving as a deacon. After retiring, he continued his commitment to service by volunteering with Trinity
Habitat for Humanity and CASA of Parker County.
Gerry loved music, especially the sounds of the 1970s, and enjoyed simple pleasures like fruit, ice cream, and popsicles. Gerry and Vicki built a close-knit group of friends whose bonds remained strong for more than 35 years. Known for his kindness, steady presence, and tireless energy, Gerry was lovingly regarded as the best assistant to his wife and a dependable helper to all.
Gerry was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Weiss, Florence Angart Weiss, and step-mother Lucielle Weiss. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vicki Weiss; his sister, Margery Weiss; and his step-brother, Ronnie Wexler. He was a devoted father to Sherian Lyles (Keith), Kami Brown (Andre), and Rebecca Meggs (Josh Norris). Gerry was a proud grandfather to Lauren, Andrew, Ryan, Emileigh, Raegan, Hope, Dain, Allie, Joel, Zachary, Daniel, and Kendall, and a cherished great-grandfather to Vinny.
The family would like to thank Halo Hospice and all the wonderful caregivers at Azle Manor for their compassionate and attentive care these past few months.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11 am at Faith Presbyterian Church (301 Bailey Ranch Road, Aledo TX). Visitation with the family will be at 10 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity
