Geri Bohlen (Boland), 83, passed away on January 22, 2026, at her home at Fountains of Hosanna in Lakeville, Minnesota, under the care of Minnesota Hospice.
Geri was born in Minneapolis to Lois Lucille Boland (Clow) of Iowa and William Frank Boland of New York. She attended Basilica School of St. Mary in Minneapolis and graduated from West High School in 1960.
Geri began working at age 15 at the Rainbow Café in Minneapolis, earning 20 cents an hour as a bus girl. She was employed with a number of other companies over the years including Detector Electronics in Bloomington, where she served as the front desk receptionist until retiring at age 71. She lived in Bloomington until she moved to the Fountains at Hosanna in 2019.
Geri was a beloved mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her granddaughter. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, reading, playing board games and cards, and collecting bears. Geri loved all of her friends and staff at Fountains of Hosanna.
Geri was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and William Boland, and her siblings William Paul Moeller, Donna Ray Stubbs (Moeller), and Margaret Adele Simmons (Boland).
She is survived by sons, Tom Gunderson and Edward Bohlen (Jennifer), and granddaughter, Abigail Bohlen.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Hosanna Church Chapel, 9600 163rd Street West, Lakeville, MN 55044. Door 5
10:00 a.m. Visitation, 11:00 a.m. Service, with luncheon to follow.
Internment will be at the Columbarium at Hosanna Chapel and Memorial Gardens.
