Geraldine Dinie Maccini

Geraldine 'Dinie' Maccini 77, formerly of Townsend, Shirley and Somerville passed away peacefully in the care of Care Dimensions Hospice at Emerson Hospital on March 19, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on April 21, 1948, the third child of Adele and Columbo Maccini both deceased and was also pre deceased by her brother, Albert Maccini and sister, Mary Maccini Lindsay. Geraldine is survived by her cousins, niece and nephew and a community of loving friends. People of all ages. who she cherished "through eternity" were drawn to her deep faith and generous heart. She loved animals and all people uncodiitionally, and was a person who saw Christ in everyone. She died, as she lived, in gratitude for the love that was shown her. In these last weeks she was especially grateful to those who never left her side and to her caregivers at Emerson Hospital Wheeler 4 who provided compassion and comfort. There will be a Memorial Mass in celebration of Dinie's life to be held on March 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Church, 817 Mass Ave., Lunenburg MA. In lieu of flowers she has asked that you give to a charity of your choice.
