Geraldine "Geri" Roglieri of Tenafly, NJ and Edgartown, MA, formerly of Scotch Plains, peacefully closed her life of service on October 21 at the age of 83, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born in Scranton and raised in Scotch Plains, Geri graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 1959. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from Columbia University in 1990, dedicating her life to helping others through her work with Catholic Charities. Known affectionately as "Miss Geri," she worked tirelessly with children and mothers separated by court orders, fostering trust, healing, and reconciliation. In the South Bronx, she guided daughters of addicted parents through the Drug Abuse Prevention Program, helping them discover hope and a brighter future. Her compassion, patience, and unwavering dedication touched countless lives. Geri shared 62 loving years with her husband, Dr. John L. Roglieri, and was a devoted mother to Maria Roglieri (Daniel Friedman), Anna Roglieri (Robert Katzman), and John Roglieri (Michelle O'Connell Roglieri). She also leaves behind her brother Stephen Piller (Debbie Minix) and nine cherished grandchildren: Dr. Sara Friedman, Julia Friedman, David Friedman, John Roglieri, Katherine Roglieri, Emily Roglieri, Hunter Healy, Kierstin Healy, and Alexa Katzman. Geri's life was defined by service, love, and an enduring commitment to helping others find their way. In her memory, the family kindly requests donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her.
