Geraldine Stewart

Geraldine Stewart, age 90, formerly of Norwalk, CT, transitioned into heaven on Thursday, December 25, 2025, peacefully in her home in Easton, MD.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Easton Village Clubhouse located at 7979 Easton Village Drive, Easton, Maryland, at 1 p.m.

Geraldine was the wife of the late Rufus Stewart (2002), the owner of Brite Cleaning Services. Geraldine and Rufus were long time members of the First Congregational Church on the Green in Norwalk, CT.

Geraldine was predeceased by her daughter, Gina Barkley, (2009), (who was married to Willie Barkley), and her sister Garnell Sadler (2024). She is survived by her daughter, Sheri Stewart, of Easton, MD; her niece/daughter Linda Gee, of West Haven, CT; her sister, Nellie Allen, of Philadelphia, PA; her sister Audrey Gee of Norfolk, VA; her sister Joy Shirley Thomas of Columbia, SC; her eldest niece, Dorothy Harris of Philadelphia, PA; her two granddaughters, Brianna Thomas of Marietta, GA, and Brittany Barkley of Gainesville, GA; her nephew Robert Brown, Jr. of Columbia, SC; her niece Kimberly Russell of Norwalk, CT, and several other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude's Children Hospital, a charity that was close to her heart, in memory of Geraldine Stewart.
