Germaine "Madame" Lysius (née Chery), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and devout Christian, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was 88 years old.

Born on October 3, 1937, in Haiti, she was the cherished daughter of Servillian and Ormelia Chery. Germaine grew up with her siblings Chavannes Chery and Annette Pierre, who have since predeceased her. Her life was deeply rooted in faith and family, values instilled in her from an early age.

A woman of unwavering devotion to her Christian faith, Germaine was known as a prayer warrior whose spiritual strength inspired all who knew her. Her faith guided every aspect of her life and served as a foundation for the love and wisdom she shared with those around her. She was a trusted confidant to her children and a source of encouragement and unconditional love.

Germaine's life was marked by hard work and dedication. She poured herself into providing for her family while nurturing strong bonds with each member. Her legacy is carried forward by her surviving children: Joseph Y. Lysius, Joseph P. Lysius, Milot Lysius, Delysse Lysius, Gernette Lysius, and Nadine Forker. She also leaves behind her two sisters Lina Chery & Madan Lafontant, three brothers Joseph Dolores Chery, Vildoit Mondesir and Delince Cadeus; grandchildren Mike Lysius, Steven Dimanche, Richlet Dimanche, Giovanni Mentor, Ashley Jacquot, Joshua Forker, Izabella Forker, Cryslind Lysius, and Jayden Lysius; as well as seven great-grandchildren who will continue to honor her memory.

Germaine is reunited in eternal rest with her parents Servillian and Ormelia Chery; siblings Chavannes Chery and Annette Pierre; and her youngest daughter Nadege Lysius.

Her family will forever cherish the memories of her wisdom-filled guidance and the love she so freely gave. May Germaine's enduring faith and devotion bring comfort to all who were blessed to know her.

May she rest in peace. A Viewing will be held on March 21, 2026, from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Bachelor Brothers Funeral Services 3215 Garrett Rd Drexel Hill, PA followed by service and cemetery.
