Gertrude M. Adelsperger, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday 11/19/2025.
She married Frank C. (Buzz) Adelsperger December 16, 1961. Surviving are her three children; daughter Lisa M. Neal & husband Gary of Warsaw, NY: son Stuart C. Adelsperger & wife Michelle of Greensburg, PA: son Eric J. Adelsperger & wife Lisa of Elbridge, NY: Granddaughters Nicole Violino of North Tonawanda, NY and Roxanne Griffin & husband Matthew of Conesus, NY: Great Grandsons Sawyer & Wyatt Griffin and Evan & Luca Violino. Sisters; Rosie (Charles) Rhoades of Venus, PA and Leona (Harold H.) Culp Jr. of West Middlesex, PA. Brothers; George E. Bell (Jane) of Oil City, Robert L. Bell of Franklin, Carl E. (Butch) Bell (Linda) of Franklin, William E. Bell (Penny) of Franklin, Clarence E. Bell of Seneca. Many Nieces & Nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Russell & Ethelleen Bell, husband Frank C. Adelsperger, sister Agnes Larson, brothers Charles Bell & Thomas Bell, sister-in-laws Donna Bell, Maria Bell, Sullen Bell. brother-in-laws Harold Culp Jr., Charles Rhoades, & Harry Larson.
Gert was employed at Oil City National Bank before becoming a homemaker after marriage. She was a charter & life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Marcellus Vol. Fire Dept., Marcellus, NY. She attended First Presbyterian Church of Oil City and the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church. She was an active member of the Oil City Area Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed cleaning, cooking, baking, camping, cats (especially Jellybean), playing cards, celebrating the holidays with family, and volunteering for the Oil City Area Meals on Wheels. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Venango County Humane Society.
